I spent the last lab day looking at the various ways that covers were designed for the little magazines, at least where there was still a cover to observe. I found that most seemed to be text heavy, designed with shapes and lines, or a combination of both. I only took pictures of two covers, though I noticed that others had text that appeared on an angle. Though I don’t know much about art and it’s movements, I was interested to see the ways that, despite different audiences, many of the modernist magazines employed similar art features.
